Our journey: the Hay & Grin Rescue story
Discover how Hay & Grin Rescue began, our passion for animal welfare, and the dedicated family team behind our mission. Join us as we continue to provide a sanctuary for animals in need.

Our humble beginnings in Gloucestershire
Hay & Grin Rescue started as a vital lifeline for animals in need within our Gloucestershire community. Nestled in the heart of the Forest of Dean, our dedicated family team—my partner, our son, and I—has devoted countless hours to caring for and rehabilitating animals who have escaped dire circumstances, often saved from the clutches of abuse and neglect.

Bridging the gap for animals in need
Gloucestershire, like many areas across the UK, grapples with a significant shortage of animal rescue facilities. This glaring deficiency leaves countless animals stranded, waiting for help that may never arrive. At Hay & Grin Rescue, we strive to bridge this gap; our unwavering mission is to ensure that no animal suffers due to overcrowding in larger rescues. With your support, we can continue to provide a sanctuary for reptiles, small furries, cats, and dogs, granting them the second chance at life that they so profoundly deserve.

Our deep understanding and commitment
When you visit Hay & Grin Rescue, we want you to feel confident and happy with our knowledge and understanding of the animals coming into our care. Every animal receives individual attention and a tailored rehabilitation plan, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Our commitment goes beyond rescue; it's about providing a nurturing environment where every creature can thrive.
